Extruders
Rubber extrusion

The extruder is intended for processing rubber compounds into continuous strips, hoses, rods, and other shapes.

The machine consists of a frame, gearbox, barrel, screw, feeding unit, control panel, control cabinet, drive, and temperature control units (TCUs). The number of TCUs depends on the number of monitored heating zones on the barrel and the head.

The barrel typically consists of three parts. The first part includes a hopper designed for feeding the machine with rubber strips via a feed roller. The subsequent parts of the barrel are divided into heating sections with independently controllable temperatures and are equipped with temperature sensors. These can be supplemented with mixing pins.

We supply barrels in both NITRIDED and BIMETALLIC designs.

The screw features a specially designed feed zone for improved material intake into the barrel. The screw performs a rotational movement, which drives the rubber through the working barrel under the simultaneous effects of heat and pressure.

Heating and cooling – the working barrel is cooled by pressurized water circulating in the heating circuits of individual heating zones. In the temperature control units, the pressurized water is either heated by electric heating elements or cooled by cold water.
