Building drums
Building drums are designed for the production of bias-ply tires using a single-stage building process.
All assembly operations are performed on the collapsible drum of the tire building machine,
ranging from the placement of beads and individual cord plies (with alternating cord angles)
to the application of the tread and both sidewalls
The orientation of the cord threads allows the tire casing to be shaped (shaped/expanded) during vulcanization. We have been manufacturing and supplying building drums for more than 40 years. Since approximately 2008, we have been offering a newer spacer design, which contributes to the improved quality of semi-finished products in tire manufacturing.
Building drums are used to produce tire components on tire building machines (TBM) from various manufacturers. Our product range includes building drums for machines such as Mitsubishi, Buzuluk Komárov, and SPD.
Our building drums come in 4, 6, or 8 segments with various diameters and spacer-adjustable widths.
