Use of the machine
The extruders for rubber processing are designed for processing of rubber compounds by means of extrusion (endless lengths, the shapes thereof are:belts, hoses, bars or others profiles), further for cleaning of compounds.
Description of the machine
The machine consists of following principal parts: frame, gear box, working barrel, screw, feeding device, tempering unit, control panel, steering switchboard (control cabinet) and drive.
Drive of the machine
The electric motor of the drive is supported under the gear box on a traversable frame. The torsional moment is carried by V-belts towards the gear box shaft.
Working barrel
The working barrel consists of parts and is supported by a flange to the gear box. In the first part, there is a feeding hopper accommodated for feeding of the machine by a feed roller. Further parts of the barrel are divided into heating zones with independently controlled temperatures.Each heating zone is fitted with a temperature sensor which serves for checking of temperature mode.
Screw
The screw is made from nitrided and polished steel.The profile of the helix depends on the kind of treated material. The screw is deep-bored for the purpose of cooling.
Heating and cooling
The working barrel is cooled with pressure water circulating in cooling circuits of particular heating zones.The pressure water is heated up by electric heating units or cooled by cold water.
Working pin-type barrel
The working pin-type barrel is divided into two design units, which are connected by a flange. The whole barrel is divided into 3 tempered zones. The tempering agens is water.The mixing pins are situated into 2-nd and 3-rd tempering zones and have a cylindrical shape.The number of pins is 6, which are arranged in 3 rows.
Screw with pins
The screw has a special accomodated inlet zone for better material inlet. For each plane of mixing pins is the helix interrupted by a groove, which enables the rotating of the screw without problems.
